Caroline’s Shiny Penny this week is this super cool soy lotion candle that I discovered while visiting the shops in Pawley’s Island, SC last weekend. This is great for anyone who loves candles. And it’s unique because you can use the liquid the candle produces to moisturize your skin! (See Video Below)

This awesome candle is clean burning, long lasting and makes a great body lotion. I am using it on my hands because they are always dry and I hate that greasy feeling that so many hand moisturizers leave. I stumbled upon this candle shop called Isle of Candles and was intrigued with many of the candles that they make right there in the back of the shop. They had many fragrant candles. I opted to get an unscented one and add a drop of one of my essential oils when I light it. Check out my short video that shows how I use it.

Basically, you light it and let the candle burn for a little while. Once it has formed some liquid, blow out the candle and dip your finger in the liquid. Then, just rub it into your hands. It leaves them soft and not greasy at all! You don’t have to drive to Pawley’s Island to try one! They have a thriving e-commerce business on their website.
