Atlanta Pro Movers

I recently moved. Ugh. I am surrounded by boxes that must be put away, but I will get there. Having my real estate license, I have dealt with a lot of moving companies, but the one I chose for my own move was Atlanta Pro Movers. They are definitely a Shiny Penny. I called around and they were by far the least expensive of the companies I called. However, I am very wary of “cheap.” Usually you get what you pay for.

Atlanta Pro Movers were recommended to me by someone who just moved and was pleased with them. When I put my web inquiry in late on Friday July 3rd, I expected to hear back on Monday – after the holiday weekend. However, I got a call back early on Saturday July 4th. Yes, on a holiday, they followed up with me.

I put the same inquiry in with several different moving companies. I heard from one on Sunday and the others on Monday, as I expected. However, this is what I discovered. Even if Pro Movers were not THE cheapest, I probably would have chosen them anyway. Why? Customer service. The gentleman I spoke with was very positive, answered my many questions, and gave me his cell phone to call him back if I had more questions, even though it was a holiday. He made me feel like I was not a bother at all.

This is Customer Service 101. This is something I harp on ALL the time with our Massey Marketing clients. I am not saying that everyone should be making calls on a holiday. I am, however, saying that because he called me back on a holiday AND did not make it sound like I was bothering him by talking to him on a holiday, he won my business. It is so important to be sure that your staff never lets your clients know they are overworked, exhausted, or too busy. Always remember that first impressions last. That initial contact is vitally important to your clients.

Oh, and the move went smoothly. All furniture safely in my new house.
